SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Edilberto "Ed" Ramos, who passed away
4on July 15, 2022; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Edilberto "Ed" Ramos started his professional
6career as an administrator with United Airlines and worked
7there for 20 years before retiring to become a part owner of
8the Best Travel Agency for nine years; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Edilberto "Ed" Ramos was a 35-year resident of
10Morton Grove, and serving his community was his greatest
11accomplishment; he was a Eucharistic minister and usher for
12St. Martha Parish since 2005; he was an active member and
13advisor of the Morton Grove Filipino-American organization;
14for the Village of Morton Grove, he first served as village
15clerk for three years and later as trustee for five years; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Edilberto "Ed" Ramos is survived by his wife of
1754 years, Rebecca; his children, Ed Jr. (Paula) and Jennifer
18(Steve) Driscoll; his grandchildren, Julian, Eric, Drew,
19Holly, and Cailyn; and his siblings, Emma, Zenaida, Erlinda,
20Leticia, Evelyn, and Cecelia; therefore, be it
 
21    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL

1ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
2Edilberto "Ed" Ramos and extend our sincere condolences to his
3family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
4further
 
5    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
6presented to the family of Edilberto "Ed" Ramos as an
7expression of our deepest sympathy.
