SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Gary D. Sparks of Port Byron, who
4passed away on October 19, 2022; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Gary Sparks was born to Roy D. and Patricia M.
6(Donalson) Sparks in Clarksville, Arkansas on January 25,
71951; he married Janet Sacco in East Moline on July 17, 1971;
8he served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Gary Sparks worked for John Deere Harvester in
10East Moline; he later started Sparks Fiberglass, Inc.,
11retiring after almost 30 years of service in 2013; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Gary Sparks was an avid golfer and enjoyed
13traveling with his wife; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Gary Sparks was known for being extremely active
15and creative by nature; his proudest achievement was the
16success of his children; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Gary Sparks is survived by his wife, Janet; his
18children, Bryan (Mary) Sparks and Dr. Erin (Jonathon Reneau)
19Sparks; his grandson, Silver Sparks; his sister, Peggy Sparks;
20and his brothers, Benjamin Sparks and James Sparks; therefore,

2    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL
3ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
4Gary D. Sparks and extend our sincere condolences to his
5family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
6further
 
7    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
8presented to the family of Gary Sparks as an expression of our
9deepest sympathy.
