SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Russell Wayne Prunty Sr. of Moline,
4who passed away on October 6, 2022; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Wayne Prunty was born to Fred W. and Virginia
6(Marlow) Prunty in Macomb on October 5, 1947; he served in the
7U.S. Army during the Vietnam War; he married Patsy L. Surber on
8June 7, 1969; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Wayne Prunty was employed as a painter for
10International Harvester, retiring after 34 years; he also
11worked for 13 years as a truck driver, which he loved; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Wayne Prunty was known for his sense of humor; he
13enjoyed vacationing in Florida, sitting on his porch and
14relaxing, and playing Yahtzee with his wife; above all, he
15loved spending time with his family; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Wayne Prunty was preceded in death by his parents
17and his sister, Gail; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Wayne Prunty is survived by his wife; his son,
19Russ Prunty; his grandson, Joey Prunty; and his niece, Ashley
20Prunty; therefore, be it

1    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL
2ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
3Russell Wayne Prunty Sr. and extend our sincere condolences to
4his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
5further
 
6    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
7presented to the family of Wayne Prunty as an expression of our
8deepest sympathy.
