SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of John F. Carlson of Peoria, who passed
4away on September 8, 2022; and
 
5    WHEREAS, John Carlson was born to Francis C. and Frances
6(Doolan) Carlson in Peoria on April 26, 1951; and
 
7    WHEREAS, John Carlson previously worked as a director of
8administration at the Peoria County Health Department, a
9personnel director for Peoria County, and as the city
10administrator for West Peoria; and
 
11    WHEREAS, John Carlson was known for always being the life
12of the party and a magnetic force within his family; he adored
13his five grandchildren, who lovingly called him "Poppy"; he
14also possessed a deep spirituality; and
 
15    WHEREAS, John Carlson was preceded in death by his parents
16and his brother, Joe Carlson; and
 
17    WHEREAS, John Carlson is survived by his daughter, Mary
18(Travis) Loux; his son, Michael (Abby); his grandchildren,
19Ruby, Lucy, Frances, Vincent, and Annie; his cousins, Vivian,
20Jim, Charlotte, Kelley, Peggy, and Wayne; and his former wife,

2    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL
3ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
4John F. Carlson and extend our sincere condolences to his
5family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
6further
 
7    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
8presented to the family of John Carlson as an expression of our
9deepest sympathy.
