SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of James "Jim" Doud of Silvis, who passed
4away on August 15, 2022; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Jim Doud was born to William "Bill" and Mary
6(Strachan) Doud in Aledo on October 11, 1939; he was a graduate
7of United Township High School and served in the U.S. Air
8Force; he married Mary Jo Danielson at St. Mary's Catholic
9Church of East Moline on June 10, 1967, and she passed away on
10October 7, 2021; they shared most of their lives together in
11Colona, raising their family and enjoying their grandchildren;
12and
 
13    WHEREAS, Jim Doud retired from Johnson Sheet Metal in 2000
14after many years of service; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Jim Doud was preceded in death by his parents;
16his wife; his siblings, Mary Louise Sloan, John Doud, and Paul
17Doud; and his brother-in-law, Robert Wolfe; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Jim Doud is survived by his daughters, Kelli
19(Fred) Cernetisch and Traci (Jeff) Hasson; his grandchildren,
20Owen, Joci, Jarett, Karoline, and Kenzi; and his sister, Alice
21Wolfe; therefore, be it

1    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL
2ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
3James "Jim" Doud and extend our sincere condolences to his
4family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
5further
 
6    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
7presented to the family of Jim Doud as an expression of our
8deepest sympathy.
