SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of John K. "Jack" Sackfield of Rock
4Island, who passed away on August 8, 2022; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Jack Sackfield was born to John and Edith Bakken
6Sackfield in Rock Island on September 25, 1940; he graduated
7from Rock Island High School in 1958; he married Linda Moore
8Alvarez in Rock Island on December 3, 2003; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Jack Sackfield was employed at IH Farmall in Rock
10Island until he was drafted into the U.S. Army, serving from
111965 to 1967; he continued to work at IH Farmall until 1985; he
12was then employed at the Rock Island Arsenal, retiring in
132005; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Jack Sackfield was a member of the Rock Island/
15Moline American Legion Post 246; he enjoyed fishing,
16especially in Canada; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Jack Sackfield was preceded in death by his
18parents; his sister, Sharon Adams; and his brother, Warren
19Gale; and
 
20    WHEREAS, Jack Sackfield is survived by his wife, Linda;

1his stepchildren, Jim (JoAnn) Erickson and Brad Erickson; his
2step-grandchildren, Anthony, Jeff, and Brandon; his
3step-great-grandchildren, Sandy, Ian, and Logan; his brother,
4Mike (Evelyn) Sackfield; his brother-in-law, Tom Adams; his
5sister-in-law, Connie Gale; and his several nieces and
6nephews; therefore, be it
 
7    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL
8ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
9John K. "Jack" Sackfield and extend our sincere condolences to
10his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
11further
 
12    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
13presented to the family of Jack Sackfield as an expression of
14our deepest sympathy.
