SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Raymond G. Saelens of Moline, who
4passed away on July 21, 2022; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Raymond Saelens was born in Silvis to Rene and
6Eliza (DeKoker) Saelens on February 4, 1930; he married Joyce
7Stahl in Havanah on August 17, 1957; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Raymond Saelens worked for the U.S. Army as an
9accountant; prior to working for the Army, he worked for John
10Deere; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Raymond Saelens was a member of St Mary's
12Catholic Church; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Raymond Saelens was preceded in death by his
14parents and son, Lawrence "Larry"; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Raymond Saelens is survived by his wife, Joyce;
16his children, Beth (Michael) Nickell, Mark (Jennifer) Saelens,
17Daniel (Deborah) Saelens, and Diane (Joseph) Gardner; 10
18grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren; therefore, be it
 
19    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL

1ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
2Raymond G. Saelens and extend our sincere condolences to his
3family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
4further
 
5    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
6presented to the family of Raymond Saelens as an expression of
7our deepest sympathy.
