SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Mark A. Ash of Port Byron, who passed
4away on July 23, 2022; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Mark Ash was born to Harold and Florence Lea
6(Bryant) Ash in Trenton, Missouri on March 3, 1943; he served
7in the U.S. Navy on the U.S.S. Passumpsic during the Vietnam
8era; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Mark Ash was previously employed as an inspector
10and powerhouse helper with John Deere Harvester for over 30
11years; during this time, he was also employed as a part-time
12delivery man at Highland Packing in Colona; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Mark Ash was a member of Orion VFW Post 143; he
14was an avid bowler; he also enjoyed playing cribbage and
15attending races at the Cordova Dragway; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Mark Ash was preceded in death by his infant son,
17John; his parents; his brother, Allen; and his twin sisters;
18and
 
19    WHEREAS, Mark Ash is survived by his children, Dave
20(Shelly DeVolder) Ash, Kim (Eric Rouw) Harris, and Jeff Ash;

1his grandchildren, Peyton Ash and Morgan Ash; his sisters, Sue
2Ash and Joy Randolph; and his brother, Roy (Diane) Ash;
3therefore, be it
 
4    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL
5ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
6Mark A. Ash and extend our sincere condolences to his family,
7friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further
 
8    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
9presented to the family of Mark Ash as an expression of our
10deepest sympathy.
