SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Robert William "Bob" Anderson of
4Moline, who passed away on July 20, 2022; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Bob Anderson was born in Rock Island on February
627, 1952; he was the son of Richard William and Jane Eleanor
7(High) Anderson; he served in the U.S. Army and afterward
8attended the University of Florida; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Bob Anderson worked for Veterans Affairs, John
10Deere, and the U.S. Post Office before working for the Rock
11Island Arsenal, from which he retired after many years of
12service; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Bob Anderson was a member of the Quad City Parrot
14Head Club and the Svithiod Club; he was an avid fan of sports,
15including the Boston Red Sox and the Chicago Cubs; he loved
16coaching and serving as an umpire for baseball and softball
17games, including for his own children's teams; he also loved
18telling stories and never met a stranger; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Bob Anderson was preceded in death by his
20parents; his brother, Rick; his niece, Amanda Villmer; and his
21brother-in-law, Mike Villmer; and

1    WHEREAS, Bob Anderson is survived by his children, Jason
2(Andrea) Anderson, Jamie Anderson (Troy Benedict), and Katie
3J. Anderson; his grandchildren, Danny Laird, Allison Laird,
4Alysia Anderson, Whitney Anderson, Bryce Benedict, and Tyler
5Benedict; his siblings, Gary (Marlene) Anderson and Nancy
6Villmer; his sister-in-law, Linda Anderson; his nieces and
7nephews, Jenny (Chaunzay) Horne, Eric Anderson, Kaycee
8Anderson, and James Anderson; and several great-nieces and
9great-nephews; therefore, be it
 
10    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL
11ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
12Robert William "Bob" Anderson and extend our sincere
13condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved
14him; and be it further
 
15    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
16presented to the family of Bob Anderson as an expression of our
17deepest sympathy.
