SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Ray Cox of Moline, who passed away on
4June 13, 2022; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Ray Cox was born to Clarence and Dorothy
6Elisabeth Mae (Phelps) Cox in East Moline on February 29,
71932; he served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War; he
8married MaryEllen Reynolds in Moline on June 24, 1957, and she
9preceded him in death on February 2, 2022; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Ray Cox retired from John Deere Harvester after
1130 years of service; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Ray Cox was a longtime member of Golfmohr Golf
13Club; he also liked bowling; above all, he loved spending time
14with his family and friends; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Ray Cox was preceded in death by his wife,
16MaryEllen, and his siblings, Robert Cox, Donald Cox, Betty
17Marks, Joann Chaney, and Ruth Webb; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Ray Cox is survived by his daughters, Sheryl
19(Chuck) Hauser and Tracy (Randy) Walters; his grandchildren,
20Amanda (Brandon) Carleton, Dustin Walters, Cody Walters,

1Nathan Hauser, and Nya Hauser; and his great-grandchildren,
2Ellis Carleton, Cecilia Carleton, Grayson Hauser, and Isabella
3Hauser; therefore, be it
 
4    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL
5ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
6Ray Cox and extend our sincere condolences to his family,
7friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further
 
8    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
9presented to the family of Ray Cox as an expression of our
10deepest sympathy.
