SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Amy L. Taylor of Springfield, formerly
4of Sullivan, who passed away on April 30, 2022; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Amy Taylor was born in Decatur to Virgil O. and
6Hyllis F. Daum Rhoades on July 12, 1965; she married Mike
7Taylor in Springfield on June 20, 2000; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Amy Taylor retired after 34 years as the
9Elementary Music and Technology Instructor at Iles Elementary
10School in Springfield; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Amy Taylor was a member of Springfield First
12United Methodist Church; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Amy Taylor was preceded in death by her parents;
14her son, Owen Michael; and her sisters, Karen Rhoades and
15Sharon Wicker; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Amy Taylor is survived by her husband, Mike; her
17son, Collin Taylor; and her sisters, Dereatha "Dede" Pratt,
18Kay Schillo, and Merry Rhoades; therefore, be it
 
19    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL

1ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
2Amy L. Taylor and extend our sincere condolences to her
3family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it

5    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
6presented to the family of Amy Taylor as an expression of our
7deepest sympathy.
