SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Bradley L. "Brad" Shireman of rural
4Bluffs, who passed away on March 29, 2022; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Brad Shireman was born to Jess F. and Mildred M.
6McGlauchlen Shireman in Carrollton on April 4, 1950; he
7married Sandra D. Rolf in Bluffs on September 15, 1972; he
8served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War for two and a
9half tours of duty, and he was awarded the Purple Heart for
10injuries he sustained during the conflict; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Brad Shireman was a member of the Trinity
12Lutheran Church near Bluffs; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Brad Shireman enjoyed woodworking with his
14daughter, farming, gardening, hunting, fishing, mushrooming,
15and working on antique tractors; he loved babies and toddlers,
16often having his picture taken with the little ones he adored
17so much; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Brad Shireman was preceded in death by his
19parents and his siblings, Mae Shaw, Geanne Uitterback, Don
20McGlauchlen, Mike Shireman, Jerry Shireman, Dale Shireman, and
21Roger Shireman; and

1    WHEREAS, Brad Shireman is survived by his wife, Sandra
2Shireman; his daughter, Jody Shireman; his siblings, Russ
3Shireman, Lyndal (Sue) Shireman, Charlie (Pam) Shireman, and
4Dwight Shireman; and his several nieces and nephews;
5therefore, be it
 
6    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL
7ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
8Bradley L. "Brad" Shireman and extend our sincere condolences
9to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be
10it further
 
11    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
12presented to the family of Brad Shireman as an expression of
13our deepest sympathy.
