SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Thomas J. Manion of Rock Island, who
4passed away on February 22, 2022; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Thomas Manion was born in Oshkosh, Wisconsin to
6William and Mary (O'Donnell) Manion on December 4, 1928; he
7served in the U.S. Army for nine years and later the U.S. Air
8Force for 11 years; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Thomas Manion worked as a corporate accountant
10for the A.D. Huesing Corporation for 18 years, retiring in
111990; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Thomas Manion was a member of the former Rock
13Island VFW Post 1303; he was also a former member of the Rock
14Island Moose Lodge and the Rock Island Eagles Club; he loved
15spending time with his family and enjoyed walking and swimming
16in his younger years; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Thomas Manion was preceded in death by his
18parents; his siblings, Winifred Zellmer, James Manion, Anne
19Bardoel, Eugene Manion, and Florence Huff; and his
20great-nephew, Michael Teager; and

1    WHEREAS, Thomas Manion is survived by his nephews, William
2(Sharon) and Thomas (Stacey) Teager, and his great-nieces and
3great-nephews, Nathan Teager, Kaitlyn (Nick Lisowski) Teager,
4Paige Teager, and Alexandra (Donald) Bell; therefore, be it
 
5    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL
6ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
7Thomas J. Manion of Rock Island and extend our sincere
8condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved
9him; and be it further
 
10    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
11presented to the family of Thomas Manion as an expression of
12our deepest sympathy.
