SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Lawrence T. "Larry" Moorman of
4Channahon, who passed away on January 24, 2022; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Larry Moorman was born in Joliet to Wilbur A. and
6Agnes V. (Van Duyne) Moorman on April 10, 1937; he was the
7oldest of 65 grandchildren of the Van Duyne family; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Larry Moorman was the developer of Spring Brook
9Estates in Channahon and a longtime part owner of Rittof's
10Hardware in Channahon; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Larry Moorman was a member of Carpenters Local
12#174 for over 50 years; he was a talented and skilled wood
13worker who milled his own lumber; he enjoyed his small animal
14farm and was a longtime member of the "Coffee Club", which
15included Bob, George, Ron, Juno, Jim, Bud, and the late Art; he
16will be lovingly remembered as everyone's "Project Engineer";
17and
 
18    WHEREAS, Larry Moorman was preceded in death by his
19parents; his son, Louie Moorman; and his sister, Nancy M.
20Moorman; and

1    WHEREAS, Larry Moorman was the beloved husband of 59 years
2of Janet M. (Rittof) Moorman; the proud father of Robert A.
3(Jody) Moorman, Missey Moorman-Schumacher, Joseph J. (Lori)
4Moorman, and the late Lawrence S. "Louie" Moorman; the loving
5and cherished grandfather of Aubry (Eli) White, Andrew
6Moorman, Brock Hermann, Chase Hermann, Bradley Schumacher, and
7J. Schumacher; and the dearest great-grandfather of Callen
8White, Isabel White, Olivia White, and McKenzie
9Sobota-Hermann; also left to cherish his memory are his dear
10nephews, Steve III (Stacy) and Matthew (Erin) Rittof and his
11brother-in-law, Steve (Cathy) Rittof; therefore, be it
 
12    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL
13ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
14Lawrence T. "Larry" Moorman and extend our sincere condolences
15to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be
16it further
 
17    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
18presented to the family of Larry Moorman as an expression of
19our deepest sympathy.
