SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Sharon L. Kuhns of Mattoon, who passed
4away on August 29, 2021; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Sharon Kuhns was born to Ronald J. and Hazel L.
6Dodd in Watseka on June 25, 1949; she married Gary L. Kuhns in
7Champaign on August 29, 1970; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Sharon Kuhns retired from the University of
9Illinois Extension in Urbana-Champaign after 28 years of
10dedicated service; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Sharon Kuhns was a faithful member of the
12Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Mattoon; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Sharon Kuhns shared her talent and expertise by
14gifting and displaying many of her beautiful handmade quilts;
15she had a passion for gardening and enjoyed traveling with
16friends and family; her highest priority was making memories
17with her family; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Sharon Kuhns is survived by her husband; her two
19sons, Andrew (Kyla) R. Kuhns and Nicholas (Gwen) J. Kuhns; her
20four grandchildren, Asa S. Kuhns, Anna M. Kuhns, Alexandra M.

1Kuhns, and Natalee P. Kuhns; her two brothers, Terry G.
2(Cindy) Dodd and Gary T. (Pam) Dodd; and her one sister, Joyce
3(John) A. Darnstaedt; therefore, be it
 
4    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL
5ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
6Sharon L. Kuhns and extend our sincere condolences to her
7family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
8further
 
9    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
10presented to the family of Sharon Kuhns as an expression of our
11deepest sympathy.
