SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Rudolph "Rudy" Valentino Kauzlarich
4of Colona, who passed away on August 8, 2021; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Rudy Kauzlarich was born to Tony and Ramona
6(Buyon) Kauzlarich in Chariton, Iowa on September 21, 1927; he
7married Gertrude VanKlaveren in Nashua, Iowa on October 20,
81973; he served in the U.S. Army during World War II; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Rudy Kauzlarich was a lineman for many years who
10worked for many high line companies; he also worked for
11Iowa-Illinois Gas and Electric and Mid-American Energy; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Rudy Kauzlarich was a member of the American
13Legion in Milan, International Brotherhood of Electrical
14Workers 55, and International Brotherhood of Electrical
15Workers 109; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Rudy Kauzlarich enjoyed spending time with
17friends and family, especially his grandchildren; he enjoyed
18fishing, mushroom hunting, and cutting grass; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Rudy Kauzlarich was preceded in death by his
20parents; his infant daughter; his son, Jerald; his five

1brothers; his six sisters; his two half brothers; and his one
2half sister; and
 
3    WHEREAS, Rudy Kauzlarich is survived by his wife; his son,
4Joe (Linda) Kauzlarich; his stepchildren, Arnold (Elzeda)
5Kershaw and Sharon (Rod) Earl; his 20 grandchildren; his one
6bonus granddaughter, Jessica; his 28 great-grandchildren; his
7two great-great-grandchildren; his sister, Gloria Crall; and
8his many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
 
9    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL
10ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
11Rudolph "Rudy" Valentino Kauzlarich and extend our sincere
12condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved
13him; and be it further
 
14    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
15presented to the family of Rudy Kauzlarich as an expression of
16our deepest sympathy.
