SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Jamie L. Rieke of Woodstock, who
4passed away on July 28, 2021; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Jamie Rieke was born in Elgin to James and
6Barbara (Novicki) Rieke on September 6, 1975; and
 
7    WHEREAS, Jamie Rieke served as a corrections officer with
8the McHenry County Sheriff's Office for 17 years; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Jamie Rieke's backyard was a gathering place for
10fires and good food; she was a lifelong fan of the Chicago
11Cubs, Jerry Garcia, and the Grateful Dead; she was beloved and
12will be missed by her family, friends, and coworkers; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Jamie Rieke was preceded in death by her
14grandparents, Evelyn and Henry Rieke and Winnifried and Gerald
15Novicki; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Jamie Rieke is survived by her parents, Jim and
17Barb (Novicki) Rieke; her brothers, Darin Rieke, Bill
18(Christy) Rieke, and Chris Rieke; her sister, Jeri Ann Rieke;
19her niece, Amanda Rieke; her nephews, Justin Rieke and Gary
20Rieke; her great-nephew, Maverick; her great-niece, Lorelai;

1her many aunts, uncles, and cousins; and her 143 brothers and
2sisters in uniform; therefore, be it
 
3    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL
4ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
5Jamie L. Rieke and extend our sincere condolences to her
6family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
7further
 
8    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
9presented to the family of Jamie Rieke as an expression of our
10deepest sympathy.
