SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Ramon "Ray" Sprouse Jr. of Silvis, who
4passed away on July 11, 2021; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Ray Sprouse was born in Eldon, Iowa to Ramon and
6Loreen (Burton) Sprouse Sr. on December 4, 1944; he married
7Verna L. Miller on August 31, 1968; he served as an instructor
8in the U.S. Army at Fort Leonard Wood; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Ray Sprouse retired from John Deere Harvester
10after 32 years; he was a member of Union Local 865; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Ray Sprouse was preceded in death by his father,
12Ramon Sprouse Sr., and his brothers, David Sprouse, Jim
13Sprouse, and John Sprouse; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Ray Sprouse is survived by his wife of 52 years,
15Verna; his sons, Brian (Amanda) Sprouse and Lee Sprouse; his
16grandchildren, Emma Sprouse and Camden Sprouse; his mother,
17Loreen; his brother, Steve (Jan) Sprouse; his half sister and
18half brothers, Judy Lile, Joe Sprouse, and Jack Sprouse;
19therefore, be it
 
20    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL

1ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
2Ramon "Ray" Sprouse Jr. and extend our sincere condolences to
3his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it

5    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
6presented to the family of Ray Sprouse as an expression of our
7deepest sympathy.
