SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of David J. Whitlow of Herscher, who
4passed away on June 8, 2021; and
 
5    WHEREAS, David Whitlow was born to George "Larry" and
6Phyllis (Larsen) Whitlow in Kankakee on April 4, 1966; he
7married Mistie Thurston at Trinity Lutheran Church in Herscher
8on May 7, 1994; and
 
9    WHEREAS, David Whitlow was the owner and operator of
10Friendly Signs in Kankakee for 33 years; and
 
11    WHEREAS, David Whitlow was a Mason; he was also a member of
12the Kankakee Boat Club and the Trinity Lutheran Church in
13Herscher; and
 
14    WHEREAS, David Whitlow enjoyed all watersports, drag
15racing, and outdoor sports; most of all, he loved spending
16time with his family; and
 
17    WHEREAS, David Whitlow was preceded in death by his
18mother; his father; his father-in-law, Larry Thurston; and his
19grandmother, Ruth Whitlow; and

1    WHEREAS, David Whitlow is survived by his wife, Mistie
2Whitlow; his two sons, Kyle Whitlow and Hunter Whitlow; his
3second mother, Donna Whitlow; his mother-in-law, Karen
4Thurston-Stephens; his two brothers-in-law, Chip Thurston and
5Jeremy Thurston; his sister-in-law, Heather Thurston; his one
6step-brother, Rod Paap; his one step-sister, Pam (Gary)
7Hibbert; his two nieces, Ellaine Hibbert and Hope Thurston;
8and his one nephew, Deegan Thurston; therefore, be it
 
9    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL
10ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
11David J. Whitlow and extend our sincere condolences to his
12family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
13further
 
14    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
15presented to the family of David Whitlow as an expression of
16our deepest sympathy.
