SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Joseph "Pat" Stanek of McHenry, who
4passed away on March 22, 2021; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Pat Stanek was born to Joseph and Marilyn Stanek
6on July 3, 1957; he graduated from McHenry High School in 1975;
7he attended Northern Illinois University, where he met Denise;
8and
 
9    WHEREAS, Pat Stanek was a long-time driver for UPS, where
10he collected stories and jokes and made countless friendships
11along the way; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Pat Stanek enjoyed spending his mornings with the
13dear friends he made at his coffee klatch; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Pat Stanek was knighted the Courtesy King in
15first grade, and his reign continued throughout his life; he
16was a devoted husband and father, and he served as the honorary
17dad of the neighborhood; he played an active role in his
18children's lives with pride; he will be remembered for his
19efforts towards building a strong foundation of love and
20support for those he cherished; he will be dearly missed; and

1    WHEREAS, Pat Stanek was preceded in death by his in-laws,
2Chester and Jane Ptak; and
 
3    WHEREAS, Pat Stanek is survived by his wife, Denise; his
4children, Ashley (Rory Letteney), Cameren, and Patrick; his
5parents, Joseph and Marilyn; his siblings, Steve (Kris),
6Kenny, Paul, Cindy (Kurt), and Lisa (Gary); his in-laws, Ken
7(Judy), Terry (Barb), Allen (Jeanne), and Kathy; and his many
8nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
 
9    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL
10ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
11Joseph "Pat" Stanek and extend our sincere condolences to his
12family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
13further
 
14    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
15presented to the family of Pat Stanek as an expression of our
16deepest sympathy.
