SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Nancy Jane Ingram Moore, who passed
4away on February 2, 2021; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Nancy Moore was born to Richard Ingram and Gladys
6Pankey Ingram in Lincoln on February 2, 1953; she graduated
7from Elkhart High School and was homecoming queen in 1971;
8while in school, she worked as a waitress for Martha Bair in
9the evenings, on the weekends, and during the summer; she
10married Terry Moore in Sherman on October 7, 1972; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Nancy Moore retired from the State of Illinois in
122004; she also worked at the bank in Elkhart and at the Elkhart
13Post Office; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Nancy Moore served as a Village of Elkhart Board
15Trustee; while on the board, she served as chairwoman of the
16Village Parks Committee for many years and was passionate
17about her responsibilities; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Nancy Moore was a lifetime member of Elkhart
19Methodist Church and served on the board of directors as
20secretary and treasurer and was in charge of the communion
21ministry; and

1    WHEREAS, Nancy Moore was an avid softball player who
2played on a ladies league well into her 50s and coached for
3several years; above all else, she loved her family; and
 
4    WHEREAS, Nancy Moore was preceded in death by her
5grandparents; her father; her step-father, Dave Guinn; her
6mother-in-law and father-in-law; and her several aunts and
7uncles; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Nancy Moore is survived by her husband, Terry;
9her children, Tyler Moore, Tara (Aaron) Larson, and Travis
10(Sarah) Moore; her grandchildren, Briar, Trey, Tinlee, and
11Blane; her mother, Gladys Guinn; her brother, Rick Ingram; her
12aunts, Pat Pankey and Nancy Pankey; her uncle, Fritz Werkman;
13and her many friends; therefore, be it
 
14    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL
15ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
16Nancy Jane Ingram Moore and extend our sincere condolences to
17her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
18further
 
19    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
20presented to the family of Nancy Moore as an expression of our
21deepest sympathy.
