SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Raphael Vito "Ralph" Ferri of Chicago,
4who passed away on May 7, 2021; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Ralph Ferri was born in Losato, Italy to Vito and
6Pasqua Ferri on December 18, 1927; he immigrated to Seattle,
7Washington in 1946; he later moved to Chicago; he married Rita
8Tunzi on July 11, 1953; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Ralph Ferri worked as a cement mason for his
10entire career and was a member of the Cement Mason's Union,
11Local 502; during his long career, he worked on the
12construction of Chicago's famous Sears Tower and the
13Bloomingdale's building; he retired in 1990; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Ralph Ferri most cherished sharing big Sunday
15dinners with his family and drinking a glass of his own
16homemade wine; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Ralph Ferri was the father of Pasquina
18(Schnotala), Vito Ferri, Adriana (Ferdinardo), and Michael
19Ferri, and he was the grandfather of Ralphy Ferri, Ken
20Schnotala, Lauren Schnotala, Marianna Ferdinardo, Rita
21Ferdinardo, Angela Ferdinardo, Joseph Gutierrez, Michael

1Ferri, Sam Ferri, and Dino Gutierrez; therefore, be it
 
2    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL
3ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
4Raphael Vito "Ralph" Ferri and extend our sincere condolences
5to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be
6it further
 
7    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
8presented to the family of Ralph Ferri as an expression of our
9deepest sympathy.
