Amends the Unified Code of Corrections. Directs the Department of Corrections to create a searchable database on its website of all real property under the Department's control within the State of Illinois. Specifies the information to be contained in the searchable database and requires the Department to regularly update the information in the database. Effective immediately.

| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
|
| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:

| 4 | | Section 5. The Unified Code of Corrections is amended by |
| 5 | | adding Section 3-4-2.5 as follows:
|

| 7 | | Sec. 3-4-2.5. Real property database. By December 31, |
| 8 | | 2022, the Department of Corrections shall, through the |
| 9 | | creation and maintenance of a searchable database on its State |
| 10 | | website, disclose to the public all real property under the |
| 11 | | Department's control within the State of Illinois. The |
| 12 | | information disclosed shall include the address, location |
| 13 | | (including the county, municipality, and township if any), |
| 14 | | size of the property, whether any structures are located on |
| 15 | | the real property, date the real property was acquired, cost |
| 16 | | of land when it was acquired, current use of the real property, |
| 17 | | and any other information that the Department deems necessary |
| 18 | | for public consumption. The Department shall update the |
| 19 | | information contained in the database whenever a transaction |
| 20 | | occurs involving real property over which the Department has |
| 21 | | control, is receiving control, or is relinquishing control and |
| 22 | | at least annually.
