AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 2122

2    AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 2122 on page 2, by
3replacing lines 14 through 19 with the following:
4    "(c) The presumption of inadmissibility of a confession of
5a minor, who at the time of the commission of the offense was
6under 18 years of age, at a custodial interrogation at a police
7station or other place of detention, when such confession is
8procured through the knowing use of deception, may be overcome
9by a preponderance of the evidence that the confession was
10voluntarily given, based on the totality of the
11circumstances."; and
 
12on page 4, by replacing lines 9 through 14 with the following:
13    "(c) The presumption of inadmissibility of a confession of
14a minor, who at the time of the commission of the offense was
15under 18 years of age, at a custodial interrogation at a police
