AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 1826

2    AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 1826 on page 7, by
3inserting immediately below line 4 the following:
 
4    "Section 20. Reports; evaluations.
5    (a) In accordance with Section 5-5.24 of the Illinois
6Public Aid Code, beginning January 1, 2024, and each January 1
7thereafter through January 1, 2028, the Department of
8Healthcare and Family Services shall report to the General
9Assembly the expenditures associated with the provision of
10perinatal care services to pilot program participants who are
11insured under the State's Medical Assistance Program.
12Specifically, the Department shall report to the General
13Assembly the incidences of low birthweight, preterm birth,
14hospital admission for neonatal intensive care services, and
15severe maternal morbidity, pregnancy-related mortality, and
16neonatal mortality among program participants. The Department
17of Healthcare and Family Services shall collect and maintain

1deidentified demographic data for all program participants.
2Demographic data collected for any program participant shall
3include the participant's zip code of residence at the time of
4program enrollment, parity, maternal race and ethnicity,
5maternal age at delivery, and weeks' gestation at the time of
6program enrollment.
7    (b) The Department of Public Health shall monitor and
8evaluate implementation of the alternative health care
9delivery model provided under the pilot program in accordance
10with the relevant terms and standards under Section 20 of the
11Alternative Health Care Delivery Act.".
