HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3Representatives wish to congratulate Sheryl Lynn Turpin on her
4retirement as the administrative coordinator of the Community
5Behavioral Healthcare Association of Illinois (CBHA) after 22
6years of dedicated service; and
 
7    WHEREAS, Sheryl Lynn Turpin dedicated her professional
8life to the field of administrative work for over 40 years and
9served in several administrative support capacities during her
10tenure at CBHA; and
 
11    WHEREAS, According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, a
12typical employee stays in a job just over four years in the
13current era; Sheryl Lynn Turpin, like many others, is now an
14anomaly and part of a bygone era where long-time commitment to
15one job is almost nonexistent; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Sheryl Lynn Turpin has been an integral part of
17the success of CBHA, which is the largest association of
18mental health, substance abuse, and youth services
19organizations in Illinois and is dedicated to representing the
20interests of its members in order to ensure access and
21availability to a comprehensive system of accountable, quality
22behavioral healthcare services for the people of Illinois; and

1    WHEREAS, Sheryl Lynn Turpin has performed her duties with
2class, dignity, respect for others, and professionalism; she
3has earned the admiration and respect of the Illinois
4legislative staff, association members and staff, and the
5general public; she maintained high standards through
6challenging times and remained open and flexible in meeting
7the needs of her job; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Sheryl Lynn Turpin has provided exceptional
9support to the CBHA staff, members, and the general public
10without fanfare or public recognition; she was a conscientious
11employee who worked to ensure that member services and
12services to the public were provided in a timely and
13professional manner and that association funds were spent
14responsibly; and
 
15    WHEREAS, After retirement from CBHA, Sheryl Lynn Turpin
16looks forward to spending time with family, friends, and her
17pets and traveling; therefore, be it
 
18    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE
19HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
20we congratulate Sheryl Lynn Turpin on the occasion of her
21retirement as administrative coordinator for the Community
22Behavioral Healthcare Association of Illinois, thank her for

1her many years of service to CBHA and the people in Illinois,
2and wish her many happy and healthy retirement years; and be it

4    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
