SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:
 
20 ILCS 801/1-17

    Amends the Department of Natural Resources Act. Provides that a hunting license issued under the Wildlife Code must contain information indicating whether the holder of the license is registered as an organ donor in the First Person Consent registry maintained by the Secretary of State. Provides that the Department of Natural Resources and the Secretary of State shall share information as necessary to implement the new provisions.

1    AN ACT concerning State government.
 
2    Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3represented in the General Assembly:
 
4    Section 5. The Department of Natural Resources Act is
5amended by changing Section 1-17 as follows:
 
6    (20 ILCS 801/1-17)
7    Sec. 1-17. Licenses; privacy protection.
8    (a) For purposes of this Section, "license" means a
9license required under Article 3 of the Wildlife Code or under
10Article 20 of the Fish and Aquatic Life Code.
11    (b) As soon as practicable, the Department must assign a
12customer identification number to each applicant for a
13license. After the applicant has been assigned a customer
14identification number, the applicant may use that customer
15identification number in place of his or her social security
16number on any subsequent application for a license. The
17Department must keep a record of the social security number of
18each applicant. The Department shall notify the applicant that
19his or her social security number is kept on file with the
20Department.
21    (c) A licensee's social security number shall not appear
22on the face of his or her license.
23    (d) A hunting license issued under the Wildlife Code shall

1contain information indicating whether the holder of the
2license is registered as a donor in the First Person Consent
3registry maintained by the Secretary of State under Section
46-117 of the Illinois Vehicle Code. The Department and the
5Secretary of State shall share information as necessary to
6implement this subsection.
