AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 375

2    AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 375 by replacing
3everything after the enacting clause with the following:
 
4    "Section 5. The University of Illinois Act is amended by
5adding Section 120 as follows:
 
6    (110 ILCS 305/120 new)
7    Sec. 120. Adjunct professor; status of class.
8    (a) At least 30 days before the beginning of a term and
9again at 14 days before the beginning of the term, the Board of
10Trustees must notify an adjunct professor about the status of
11enrollment of the class the adjunct professor was hired to
12teach.
13    (b) The Board of Trustees shall allow an adjunct professor
14to have access to the electronic class roster that displays
15class enrollment to assist in assessing the status of the
16class.

1    (c) This Section does not apply if the Governor has
2declared a disaster due to a public health emergency or a
3natural disaster pursuant to Section 7 of the Illinois
4Emergency Management Agency Act.
5    (d) Collective bargaining agreements that are in effect on
6the effective date of this amendatory Act of the 102nd General
7Assembly are exempt from the requirements of this Section.
 
8    Section 10. The Southern Illinois University Management
9Act is amended by adding Section 100 as follows:
 
10    (110 ILCS 520/100 new)
11    Sec. 100. Adjunct professor; status of class.
12    (a) At least 30 days before the beginning of a term and
13again at 14 days before the beginning of the term, the Board
14must notify an adjunct professor about the status of
15enrollment of the class the adjunct professor was hired to
16teach.
17    (b) The Board shall allow an adjunct professor to have
18access to the electronic class roster that displays class
19enrollment to assist in assessing the status of the class.
20    (c) This Section does not apply if the Governor has
21declared a disaster due to a public health emergency or a
22natural disaster pursuant to Section 7 of the Illinois
23Emergency Management Agency Act.

15enrollment to assist in assessing the status of the class.
16    (c) This Section does not apply if the Governor has
