Makes appropriations for the Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2022. Effective July 1, 2022.

    AN ACT concerning appropriations.

 

        Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

 

    Section 5. The sum of $29,500,000, or so much thereof as may be necessary, is appropriated from the Build Illinois Bond Fund to the Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity for a grant to mHub for infrastructure improvements, including, but not limited to, the construction and renovation of research centers, statewide workforce training facilities, and electric vehicle infrastructure for the purposes of cleantech economy innovation and increased opportunity in underserved and coal-impacted communities.

 

    Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect July 1, 2022.
