SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:

 

Appropriates $3,000,000 from the State Coronavirus Urgent Remediation Emergency Fund to the Department of Public Health to be used by the Department for the establishment and operation of a hotline for complaints, reports, and allegations of conduct, including, but not limited to, fraud or misconduct, committed by laboratories in the State that process tests for COVID-19. Effective immediately.

    AN ACT concerning appropriations.

 

        Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

 

  Section 5. The amount of $3,000,000, or so much of that amount as may be necessary, is appropriated from the State Coronavirus Urgent Remediation Emergency Fund to the Department of Public Health for the establishment and operation of a hotline for complaints, reports, and allegations of conduct, including, but not limited to, fraud or misconduct, committed by laboratories in the State that process tests for COVID-19.

 

Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon becoming law.
