Appropriates $1,000,000 from General Revenue Fund to the Illinois Department of Public Health for the costs associated with conducting gun violence prevention research. Effective July 1, 2021.

    AN ACT concerning appropriations.

 

        Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

 

    Section 5. The amount of $1,000,000, or so much thereof as

may be necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue Fund

to the Illinois Department of Public Health for costs associated with conducting gun violence prevention research, including, but not limited to, providing grants to research organizations.

 

Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect July 1, 2021.
