SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Ralph E. "Pete" Clark of East Moline, who
4passed away on September 8, 2020; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Ralph Clark was born in Waukee, Iowa to Robert Sr.
6and Ruth (Keyes) Clark on December 15, 1943; he graduated from
7UT High School in 1963; he was drafted into the U.S. Army in
81965, and he served in the 7th Evacuation Hospital in
9Darmstadt, Germany; he was honorably discharged in 1967; he
10married Jo Marckese in Moline on September 10, 1971; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Ralph Clark worked as a machine operator at John
12Deere Harvester Works for over 30 years until he retired in
132004; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Ralph Clark was an aviation enthusiast, and he
15earned his private pilot's license, twin engine and instrument
16certifications, and his instructor's license; he also enjoyed
17hunting, fishing, amateur archeology, and family genealogy; he
18was a loving husband and father who deeply enjoyed having the
19family all at home; and
 
20    WHEREAS, Ralph Clark was preceded in death by his parents
21and three brothers; and

1    WHEREAS, Ralph Clark is survived by his wife; his
2daughters, Stephanie Clark and Sarah Clark; his brothers, Dean
3Clark, Bill (Ellie) Clark, and Tommy Clark; his special
4friends, Alan VerBeke and cousin Larry Glasford; and his
5several nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
 
6    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL
7ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
8Ralph E. "Pete" Clark and extend our sincere condolences to his
9family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
10further
 
11    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
12presented to the family of Ralph Clark as an expression of our
13deepest sympathy.
