SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Dorothy M. Flament, who passed away on
4May 6, 2020; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Prior to her death, Dorothy Flament was happy and
6enjoyed visits from friends and family and constant social
7activities with her friends; in her earlier years, Dorothy was
8known for her many hobbies, most notably for her hand-crafted
9quilts; once her eyesight began to fail, she discovered
10audiobooks and couldn't get new books fast enough; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Dorothy Flament was preceded in death by her
12husband of 69 years, Peter; her son, Howard; and her sister,
13Nellie; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Dorothy Flament is survived by her loving
15children; Richard (JoAnn) Flament, Ruthann (Keith) Hoffman,
16Michael Flament, and Mary Jane (Peter) Garcia; her
17grandchildren, Brad (Rachel) Flament, Brian (Janel) Flament,
18Alexander Flament, Patrick (Mara) Garcia, and Elizabeth (Brian
19Leffelman) Garcia; her great-grandchildren, Brody and Presley
20Flament and Julian, Rory, and Jonas Garcia; her nieces and
21nephews; and her friends; therefore, be it

1    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL
2ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
3Dorothy M. Flament and extend our sincere condolences to her
4family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
5further
 
6    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
7presented to the family of Dorothy Flament as an expression of
8our deepest sympathy.
