SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Billy Eugene East of Hindsboro, who
4passed away on May 17, 2020; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Billy East was born to Kenneth and Opal (Kincade)
6East on November 6, 1934; he married Shirley Jo Trimble at the
7Hindsboro United Methodist Church on June 22, 1955; with the
8exception of living in Atwood from 1958 to 1963, he lived in
9the Hindsboro area all of his life and attended the local
10schools and churches; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Billy East retired from the former Quantum
12Chemical plant at Tuscola after 42 years of service; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Billy East began farming in 1963; his dream of
14having sons and living on a farm were fulfilled when he and
15Shirley moved to the family farm, continuing the legacy begun
16by Shirley's parents, Ernie and Ruby; during these years, Billy
17took pride in his family and enjoyed wildlife and caring for
18livestock; he respected the land in his care in preparation for
19the next generation; he retired from farming in 2007; and
 
20    WHEREAS, Billy East was preceded in death by his parents;
21his brother, John East; and his great-grandsons, Carter

1Tomasello and Jacob East; and
 
2    WHEREAS, Billy East is survived by his wife of 64 years,
3Shirley; his sons, Ricky Eugene (Sara) East, Roger Ernest
4(Kathy) East, and Russell Joe (Kimberly) East; his
5grandchildren, Jeremy (Deanna) East, J.W. East, Erica Jo (Ben)
6Tomasello, Nicholas East (Brittany), Kenneth (Julia) East, and
7Alex (Patricia) East; his great-grandchildren, Conner and
8Jordan East, Kiersten East, Hemi Jo Tomasello, Callie Mae East,
9and one great-grandchild on the way; his brother-in-law, Bob
10(Pacie) Trimble and his family; and several loving nieces and
11nephews; therefore, be it
 
12    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL
13ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
14Billy Eugene East and extend our sincere condolences to his
15family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
16further
 
17    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
18presented to the family of Billy East as an expression of our
19deepest sympathy.
