SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Elbert L. "Al" Willey Jr. of Moline, who
4passed away on February 1, 2020; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Al Willey Jr. was born in Moline to Elbert and
6Phyllis (Lodge) Willey on June 27, 1948; he graduated from
7Moline High School in 1966; he attended Black Hawk College; he
8served in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Germany; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Al Willey Jr. previously owned and operated the
10Oar House and Squire's Pub, both located in Moline, as well as
11Quad City Restaurant and Equipment; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Al Willey Jr. enjoyed open wheel racing and raced
13midget cars for several years; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Al Willey Jr. was preceded in death by his parents
15and his beloved dogs, Bowser, Shadow, and Red; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Al Willey Jr. is survived by the love of his life,
17Barbara Hansen; his siblings, Carole Ryan, and Joseph Willey
18and Donna; and his many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
 
19    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL

1ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
2Elbert L. "Al" Willey Jr. and extend our sincere condolences to
3his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it

5    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
6presented to the family of Al Willey Jr. as an expression of
7our deepest sympathy.
