SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Gail E. Wolfe of Lovington, who passed
4away on December 17, 2019; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Gail Wolfe was born in Wayne City to Clarence and
6Estes Bailey Wolfe on February 22, 1943; he married Carolyn
7Finley in Wayne City on May 27, 1961; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Gail Wolfe worked at Firestone in Decatur for 30
9years; he was a proud union member; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Gail Wolfe served as a Moultrie County Republican
11Precinct Committeeman and as chairman for the Moultrie County
12Republican Central Committee for several years; he was also on
13the Moultrie County Board and had been a trustee for the
14Lovington Community Ambulance Service; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Gail Wolfe was past president of the Illinois
16Draft Pony Association and the Lincolnland Carriage Club; he
17loved ponies and enjoyed raising, training, and showing them;
18he used them for parades, wagon rides, and anywhere others
19could enjoy seeing them; he especially enjoyed having his
20carousel in parades; and

1    WHEREAS, Gail Wolfe was preceded in death by his parents;
2his brothers, Dale, Delmar, and John; and his sister, Yvonne
3Lathrop; and
 
4    WHEREAS, Gail Wolfe is survived by his wife, Carolyn; his
5daughters, Teresa O'Kelley and Deborah Wolfe; his son, Robert
6(Lori) Wolfe; his sister, Verna Woodward; and his
7granddaughter, Sydney Wolfe; therefore, be it
 
8    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL
9ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
10Gail E. Wolfe and extend our sincere condolences to his family,
11friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further
 
12    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
13presented to the family of Gail Wolfe as an expression of our
14deepest sympathy.
