    Amends the Professional Service Corporation Act. Includes registered interior designers and geologists in the definition of "related professions" and "related professional services". Effective immediately.

1    AN ACT concerning business.
 
2    Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3represented in the General Assembly:
 
4    Section 5. The Professional Service Corporation Act is
5amended by changing Section 3.6 as follows:
 
6    (805 ILCS 10/3.6)  (from Ch. 32, par. 415-3.6)
7    Sec. 3.6. "Related professions" and "related professional
8services" mean more than one personal service which requires as
9a condition precedent to the rendering thereof the obtaining of
10a license and which prior to October 1, 1973 could not be
11performed by a corporation by reason of law; provided, however,
12that these terms shall be restricted to:
13        (1) a combination of 2 or more of the following
14    personal services: (a) "architecture" as defined in
15    Section 5 of the Illinois Architecture Practice Act of
16    1989, (b) "professional engineering" as defined in Section
17    4 of the Professional Engineering Practice Act of 1989, (c)
18    "structural engineering" as defined in Section 5 of the
19    Structural Engineering Practice Act of 1989, (d) "land
20    surveying" as defined in Section 2 of the Illinois
21    Professional Land Surveyor Act of 1989, (e) "registered
22    interior designer" as defined in the Registered Interior
23    Designers Act, and (f) "geologist" as defined in the

1    Professional Geologist Licensing Act;
2        (2) a combination of the following personal services:
3    (a) the practice of medicine by persons licensed under the
4    Medical Practice Act of 1987, (b) the practice of podiatry
5    as defined in the Podiatric Medical Practice Act of 1987,
6    (c) the practice of dentistry as defined in the Illinois
7    Dental Practice Act, (d) the practice of optometry as
8    defined in the Illinois Optometric Practice Act of 1987;
9        (3) a combination of 2 or more of the following
10    personal services: (a) the practice of clinical psychology
11    by persons licensed under the Clinical Psychologist
12    Licensing Act, (b) the practice of social work or clinical
13    social work by persons licensed under the Clinical Social
14    Work and Social Work Practice Act, (c) the practice of
15    marriage and family therapy by persons licensed under the
16    Marriage and Family Therapy Licensing Act, (d) the practice
17    of professional counseling or clinical professional
18    counseling by persons licensed under the Professional
19    Counselor and Clinical Professional Counselor Licensing
20    and Practice Act, or (e) the practice of sex offender
21    evaluations by persons licensed under the Sex Offender
22    Evaluation and Treatment Provider Act; or
23        (4) a combination of 2 or more of the following
24    personal services: (a) the practice of acupuncture by
25    persons licensed under the Acupuncture Practice Act, (b)
26    the practice of massage by persons licensed under the

1    Massage Licensing Act, (c) the practice of naprapathy by
2    persons licensed under the Naprapathic Practice Act, (d)
3    the practice of occupational therapy by persons licensed
4    under the Illinois Occupational Therapy Practice Act, (e)
5    the practice of physical therapy by persons licensed under
6    the Illinois Physical Therapy Act, or (f) the practice of
7    speech-language therapy by persons licensed under the
8    Illinois Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology Practice
9    Act.

11    Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
12becoming law.
