HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The Illinois House of Representatives is saddened
3to learn of the death of Charles William "Bill" Friedrich of
4Burr Ridge, who passed away on January 25, 2020; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Bill Friedrich was born to Charles and Veronica
6(Sharpe) Friedrich in Elgin on August 30, 1943; he graduated
7from St. Procopius (Benet Academy) in 1961 and Parsons College
8in 1966; he was a long-time parishioner of St. Isaac Jogues
9Parish in Hinsdale and was active as a lay minister; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Bill Friedrich was a fond friend to many through
11more than a dozen organizations; he was a Fourth Degree member
12of the Knights of Columbus Mayslake Council and former
13Scoutmaster of Boy Scout Troop 56; he volunteered with civic
14organizations such as the Downers Grove Township Republicans,
15for which he was a precinct committeeman for over 30 years, and
16the Willowbrook/Burr Ridge Kiwanis Club; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Bill Friedrich enjoyed a lifelong interest in
18antique cars and other modes of transportation; he served as
19president of the National Packard Club and director of the
20local Packards of Chicagoland; he was often seen in local
21parades driving his green Packard convertible; and

1    WHEREAS, Bill Friedrich is survived by his beloved wife,
2Janet Friedrich; his children, Joan (Joe) Jablonski, and Ken
3(Michelle) Friedrich; his grandchildren, Anna, Kate, Julia and
4Charlie; his sister, Suzanne (Dennis) Connors; his brother, Jim
5(Mary Lou) Friedrich; his nieces and nephews, and his cousins;
6therefore, be it
 
7    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE
8HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
9we mourn the passing of Charles William "Bill" Friedrich and
10extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all
11who knew and loved him; and be it further
 
12    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
13presented to the family of Bill Friedrich as an expression of
14our deepest sympathy.
