SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Eldon C. "Twirp" Williams Jr. of Alton,
4who passed away on October 16, 2018; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Eldon Williams was born in Alton to Eldon C.
6Williams Sr. and Patricia McGuiggan on August 5, 1931; he
7served in the U.S. Air Force and married Jackie Wohlert
8Williams on July 25, 1991; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Eldon Williams was the Godfrey Tax Assessor for 40
10years and a realtor at Landmark Realty in Godfrey; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Eldon Williams was a member of the Godfrey Village
12Board and St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Eldon Williams was preceded in death by his son,
14Jonathan Williams; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Eldon Williams is survived by his wife, Jackie
16Williams; his brother, Terry Williams (Cathy); his daughters,
17Jill Williams, Joy Phillippi (Jon), Jan Williams, JoEllen
18Archerd (Fritz), Jean Ann Parks (Brynner), and Jenny Kadow
19(Bill); his stepchildren, Doug Wohlert and Becky Branum;
20several nieces and nephews; 11 grandchildren; and 14

1great-grandchildren; therefore, be it
 
2    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
3ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
4Eldon C. "Twirp" Williams Jr. and extend our sincere
5condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved
6him; and be it further
 
7    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
8presented to the family of Eldon Williams as an expression of
9our deepest sympathy.
