SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Van Cybulski, who passed away on July 13,
42018; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Van Cybulski was born in Poland to Walter and
6Wladyslawa Cybulski on October 29, 1932; as the events leading
7to World War II began to unfold, his family immigrated to
8Mexico and eventually the U.S.; he attended Holy Rosary and
9Waukegan Township High School; he joined the U.S. Air Force and
10was stationed in Japan during the Korean War; he married Donna
11Bollman on August 9, 1953 and they settled in North Chicago;
12and
 
13    WHEREAS, Van Cybulski worked as a skilled tradesman,
14pattern maker, and machinist for over 40 years; he spent the
15last 20 years of his career working in the science department
16of Lake Forest College before retiring in 1996; and
 
17    WHEREAS, After retirement, Van Cybulski and his wife bought
18a home in Lake Havasu City, Arizona; he attended Our Lady of
19the Lake Catholic Church and was a member of the Elks, Eagles,
20Moose, American Legion, and Knights of Columbus; he enjoyed an
21active social life with his many friends; and

1    WHEREAS, Van Cybulski was preceded in death by his wife,
2Donna; his son, Walter Cybulski; his parents; his brother,
3Bogdon Tadeusz; and his sister, Zenia Killian; and
 
4    WHEREAS, Van Cybulski is survived by his daughter, Angela
5S. Dubrovin (Victor); his sons, Mark A. and Van A. Cybulski
6(Laurie Minns); five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren;
7and two stepgrandchildren; therefore, be it
 
8    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
9ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
10Van Cybulski, and extend our sincere condolences to his family,
11friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further
 
12    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
13presented to the family of Van Cybulski as an expression of our
14deepest sympathy.
