SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Eleanor "Nora" Adams of McHenry, who
4passed away on May 5, 2018; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Nora Adams was born in Spring Grove to John and
6Anna (Schaefer) Adams on October 7, 1921; and
 
7    WHEREAS, Nora Adams worked as an executive assistant at
8Abbott Laboratories and then as an accountant at Elmer P. Adams
9CPA in Fox Lake for 35 years; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Nora Adams was active at St. Bede Catholic Church
11and its women's group; she was a longtime Meals-on-Wheels
12volunteer and drove cancer patients to appointments for many
13years; she was an avid bowler and golfer; she loved the Chicago
14Cubs and was glad to have lived to see the Cubbies win the
15World Series; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Nora Adams was preceded in death by her parents
17and her siblings, Raymond, Harold (Geri), Charlie (Ila), Elmer,
18and Alvina Adams; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Nora Adams is survived by her nieces and nephews,
20Kelly (Steve) Goudreau, Jeffrey Adams, Curtis Adams, Stacy

1Adams, and Noel (Peter) Parmantie; her sisters-in-law, June
2Adams and Patricia Adams; many great and great-great-nieces and
3nephews; and many extended family members and friends;
4therefore, be it
 
5    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
6ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
7Eleanor "Nora" Adams, and extend our sincere condolences to her
8family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
9further
 
10    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
11presented to the family of Nora Adams as an expression of our
12deepest sympathy.
