SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Alan J. Hoffman of Moline, who passed
4away on April 30, 2018; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Alan Hoffman was born in Davenport to John and
6Edith Hauser Hoffman on June 24, 1937; he earned his bachelor's
7degree from Western Illinois University; he married Peggy
8Garrison in Moline on May 26, 1990; he served in the United
9States Army; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Alan Hoffman worked as a manager at Radio Shack
11and as a park ranger in California during the early 1960s; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Alan Hoffman enjoyed working in the yard, being
13outside, watching birds and wildlife, and listening to music
14from the 1960s; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Alan Hoffman was preceded in death by his parents
16and his wife, Peggy; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Alan Hoffman is survived by his brothers, David
18(Loretta) Hoffman and Jack (Carita) Hoffman; his stepchildren,
19Jim and Jeff Swank; his nieces and nephews; and his many
20great-nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

1    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
2ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
3Alan J. Hoffman and extend our sincere condolences to his
4family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
5further
 
6    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
7presented to the family of Alan Hoffman as an expression of our
8deepest sympathy.
