SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Myron Julian Lencioni of Discovery Bay,
4California, formerly of Waukegan, who passed away on February
524, 2018; and
 
6    WHEREAS, Myron Lencioni was born in Kenosha, Wisconsin to
7Marino and Julia Lencioni on February 16, 1925; he graduated
8from Waukegan Township High School in June of 1943; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Myron Lencioni was inducted into the United States
10Army in July of 1943; he landed in the first wave on Omaha
11Beach on June 6, 1944, D-Day; he fought in several battles in
12Northern France including Hill 192 and the battle for Saint-Lo;
13after 56 continuous days in combat, he received the wound that
14ended his time in combat; he received two Bronze Medals and two
15Purple Hearts; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Myron Lencioni married Bernice Eileen Brown on
17August 5, 1950; he received a banking degree in cooperation
18with Southern Illinois University in September of 1969 and
19worked for over 30 years in banking for the National Bank of
20North Chicago, working his way up to Vice President of
21Operations; he retired in 1987 at the age of 62; and

1    WHEREAS, Myron Lencioni was an active member of the
2American Legion and was a president and past president of the
3Waukegan chapters of the Kiwanis; in 1992, he and Bernice moved
4to Discovery Bay; he became an active member of the Senior
5Men's Club and SIRs; he enjoyed golf, bowling, downhill skiing,
6bridge, and traveling the world, including seeing Italy, the
7country in which his father was born and raised; and
 
8    WHEREAS, After the passing of his first wife, Myron
9Lencioni married Nancy Lee Dennis Liebensberger on May 9, 1998;
10and
 
11    WHEREAS, Myron Lencioni was preceded in death by his
12parents; his wife, Bernice Lencioni; his brother, Richard
13Lencioni; and his daughter Lesli Thomas; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Myron Lencioni is survived by his wife, Nancy; his
15son and daughter-in-law, Leonard and Pam Lencioni; his daughter
16and son-in-law, Lynn and Kevin Reedy; his grandson and wife,
17Mike and Erin Lencioni and their children, Carissa, Zachary,
18and Aria; his granddaughter and husband, Elaine and Hal Woo and
19their son, Owen; his granddaughter and husband, Erin and Jay
20Williams; his great-grandson, Cris Williams; and his
21great-granddaughter, Karra Williams; therefore, be it
 
22    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL

1ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
2Myron Julian Lencioni, and extend our sincere condolences to
3his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it

5    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
6presented to the family of Myron Lencioni as an expression of
7our deepest sympathy.
