SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Linda Jean Carroll of Edwardsville, who
4passed away on February 4, 2018; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Linda Carroll was born in Highland to Melvin J.
6and Marie (Snodgrass) Helen on September 18, 1954; she married
7James Carroll at St. Cecilia's Catholic Church in Glen Carbon
8on June 12, 1981; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Linda Carroll retired from the Madison County
10Courthouse in Edwardsville, where she worked in data processing
11and as a tax clerk; she was also self employed as a real estate
12appraiser and worked part-time for Senator Evelyn Bowles; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Linda Carroll was a lifetime member of St.
14Cecilia's Catholic Church, where she was an active volunteer;
15she also donated her time to the GlenEd Pantry and the Glen
16Carbon Library; she enjoyed spending time with her children and
17grandchildren; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Linda Carroll was preceded in death by her
19parents; and
 
20    WHEREAS, Linda Carroll is survived by her husband, Jim; her

1daughters, Karla (John) McDole and Kelly (Tim) Voss; her son,
2Chase Carroll; her grandchildren, Johnny and Audrey McDole, and
3Owen, Henry, and Stella Voss; her brother, Melvin (Judy) Helen
4Jr.; her sisters, Jo Ann (Bob White) Helen, Patti (Dennis)
5Schaake, and Debbie Thompson; therefore, be it
 
6    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
7ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
8Linda Jean Carroll and extend our sincere condolences to her
9family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
10further
 
11    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
12presented to the family of Linda Carroll as an expression of
13our deepest sympathy.
