SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Pat Gentelin of Alton, who passed away on
4December 29, 2017; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Pat Gentelin was born in Wyatt, Missouri to James
6and Clara (Harrellson) Sauls on August 8, 1934, the youngest of
712 children; she married Frank Gentelin at St. Mary's Catholic
8Church in Alton on October 30, 1954; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Pat Gentelin worked in the cafeteria at Alton High
10School for 22 years; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Pat Gentelin was a member of St. Mary's Catholic
12Church and the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life; she
13will be remembered for her contagious laugh and smile; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Pat Gentelin was preceded in death by her parents;
15her husband, Frank; her four brothers; and her seven sisters;
16and
 
17    WHEREAS, Pat Gentelin is survived by her sons, Joe (Karen),
18Terry (Tina), Randy (Louise), and Brad (Shelly); her ten
19grandchildren; her 11 great-grandchildren; her dear nephew,
20Rick Faccin; and her many other nieces, nephews, cousins,

1neighbors, and friends; therefore, be it
 
2    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
3ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
4Pat Gentelin and extend our sincere condolences to her family,
5friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further
 
6    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
7presented to the family of Pat Gentelin as an expression of our
8deepest sympathy.
