SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Marilyn E. Farmer of Joliet, who passed
4away on December 14, 2017; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Marilyn Farmer was born in Watseka to Melvin and
6Marjorie (Korte) Perzee in 1947; she graduated from Lowell High
7School in 1965; she received an Honorary Degree from Joliet
8Junior College in 1994; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Marilyn Farmer was Executive Director of The
10Morning Star Mission of Joliet for 20 years; she was also a
11member of the Joliet Rotary Club; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Marilyn Farmer enjoyed spending winters at her
13home in Florida and spending time with her grandchildren at the
14lake house; she liked swimming, boating, and jet skiing; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Marilyn Farmer was preceded in death by two of her
16children, John C. Farmer and Theresa A. Farmer; her
17granddaughter, Marilyn M. DiMonte; her parents; and her
18brother, Melvin Perzee; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Marilyn Farmer is survived by her loving husband
20of 49 years, David H. Farmer Sr.; her children, David Farmer

1Jr. and Deborah (Arthur) Stambaugh; her grandchildren, Matthew
2(Jessica) DiMonte, Caleb Stevenson, John Murphy, Joseph
3Murphy, and David Micetich; her siblings, Tom Perzee, John
4(Janet) Perzee, Sandra Perzee, and Raymond (Maryann) Perzee;
5and her many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
 
6    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
7ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
8Marilyn E. Farmer and extend our sincere condolences to her
9family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
10further
 
11    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
12presented to the family of Marilyn Farmer as an expression of
13our deepest sympathy.
