SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Orville Wayne Childers of Waukegan, who
4passed away on August 18, 2017; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Wayne Childers was a veteran of the United States
6Army, where he served for 25 years; he then worked as a
7communication management specialist with the civil service for
815 years; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Wayne Childers was a 33rd degree Mason, a Blue
10Lodge Master Shriner, a member of the VFW and The Military
11Order of the Cooties of Waukegan, the Waukegan Little Fort
12Lions, the Lake County Crime Stoppers; he volunteered for Vista
13Health Hospital and was an acting Lay Leader of First United
14Methodist Church of Waukegan and Wainae Methodist Church of
15Oahu, Hawaii; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Wayne Childers, along with his wife, Norma,
17traveled the country and abroad; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Wayne Childers was preceded in death by his
19parents, Verline and Kewin Childers; and his daughter, Karen
20Childers; and

1    WHEREAS, Wayne Childers is survived by his wife of 25
2years, Norma Jensen; his children, Steven Childers, Klause
3Hackman, Jodi Anderson, and Richard W. (Amy) Jensen; his
4grandchildren, Jennifer Demo, Sarah Anderson, and the Hackman
5grandchildren of Arizona; his great-grandchildren, Kai Demo,
6and Lily and Olivia Vandervere; his sister; and his three
7brothers; therefore, be it
 
8    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
9ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
10Orville Wayne Childers and extend our sincere condolences to
11his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
12further
 
13    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
14presented to the family of Wayne Childers as an expression of
15our deepest sympathy.
