SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of James J. Boarini of McHenry, who passed
4away on July 16, 2017; and
 
5    WHEREAS, James Boarini was born to Edward and Edelle
6(Odenbrett) Boarini on October 12, 1925; he served with the
7United States Navy in the South Pacific during World War II and
8married Margaret (Peg) Idstein in Chicago on November 26, 1949;
9and
 
10    WHEREAS, James Boarini was a former dairy farmer; and
 
11    WHEREAS, James Boarini was a member of St. John the Baptist
12Church in Johnsburg, where he was on the cemetery board; he was
13a longtime volunteer at the FISH of McHenry Food Pantry; he was
14an avid landscape enthusiast and potato gun marksman; he loved
15creating memories with his grandchildren and doing basement
16craft projects with them; he ensured every grandchild and
17great-grandchild had a special teddy bear to love and go home
18with the day they were born; and
 
19    WHEREAS, James Boarini was preceded in death by his parents
20and his siblings, Edward, Francis, John, and Edelle; and

1    WHEREAS, James Boarini is survived by his wife of 67 years,
2Peg; his children, James (Joy) Boarini, Kathy (Martin) Nihill,
3Michael (Patricia Sorg) Boarini, Margaret (John) Hart, Annette
4Boarini, and Patricia (Ken) Scanlin; his grandchildren, Eric
5(Amber) Boarini, Jennifer (Chris) McLeod, Jamie (Bill) Walsh,
6Kristin (Will) Campbell, Sean Nihill (Megan Albrecht),
7Jonathan (Mariena) Boarini, Jessica Boarini (Luis-Pedro
8Barillas), Christa Boarini, Peter, Christy, Will, and Amy Hart,
9Michael and James Anderson, Kelly Scanlin, Joe (Erika) Scanlin,
10and Mary (Daniel) Montanye; his great-grandchildren, Maggie,
11Mary Kathryn, Billy, and Jack Walsh, Marty Campbell, Beau
12Nihill, Ellison McLeod, and Miles Boarini; and his sister, Mary
13(Boarini) Idstein; therefore, be it
 
14    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
15ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
16James J. Boarini, and extend our sincere condolences to his
17family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
18further
 
19    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
20presented to the family of James Boarini as an expression of
21our deepest sympathy.
