SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Edward Victor "Peck" Seibert Jr. of
4Godfrey, who passed away on April 14, 2017; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Edward Seibert Jr. was born in Alton to Edward
6Victor and Katheryn (Mahoney) Seibert Sr. on January 23, 1938;
7he married Carol Wilkinson, and later married Mary (Jun)
8Keshner on June 5, 2007; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Edward Seibert Jr. worked many years at the former
10Noll's Ice Cream and Bakery, and the Colonial Bakery in Alton;
11he attended the American Institute of Baking in Chicago; he was
12the founder of the Service Warehouse Company and Cross Country
13Sales Company in Indianapolis, Indiana before retiring; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Edward Seibert Jr. was a member of St. Mary's
15Catholic Church in Alton; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Edward Seibert Jr. was preceded in death by his
17parents; and his former wife, Carol; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Edward Seibert Jr. is survived by his wife, Mary;
19his daughter, Julia M. Seibert; his granddaughter, Chelsea
20Seibert; his stepchildren; Joseph (Tracy) Keshner, Maria

1(Steve) Roach, Charles Keshner, Michael (Stacey) Keshner, Anne
2(Geoff) Thorsen, and Margaret Keshner; seven
3stepgrandchildren; his sister, Judy (Neil) DeVries; and other
4extended family and many friends; therefore, be it
 
5    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
6ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
7Edward Victor "Peck" Seibert Jr., and extend our sincere
8condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved
9him; and be it further
 
10    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
11presented to the family of Edward Seibert Jr. as an expression
12of our deepest sympathy.
