SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Rosemary R. Wuellner, formerly of
4Brighton, who passed away on March 23, 2017; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Rosemary Wuellner was born in Muskegon, Michigan
6to Francis E. and Theresa (Kison) Rowe on August 13, 1929; she
7married Ned Wuellner in Muskegon on July 15, 1953; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Rosemary Wuellner was involved in many community
9organizations; during her 25 years in the Junior Service
10League, she held every office and started the "Who's New?"
11program; she had over 31 years of involvement with the Alton
12Community Service League, where she ran the Razmataz and Arbor
13programs; her other involvements included teaching for many
14years in public, private, and cooking schools; she was involved
15in the Indochinese Refugee Program and ran a private family
16counseling service; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Rosemary Wuellner was deeply involved in the
18American Cancer Society; she and her husband were Santa and
19Mrs. Claus at the Celebration of Christmas and they started the
20Dollhouse and Barn Auction in conjunction with the gift
21wrapping fundraiser; and

1    WHEREAS, Rosemary Wuellner was preceded in death by her
2husband, Ned; her parents; her brothers, Joseph, William, and
3Edward Rowe; and her sisters, Jean Keiser, and Frances Crane;
4and
 
5    WHEREAS, Rosemary Wuellner is survived by her children and
6their spouses, Ann and John Venardos, Debbie Wuellner, Rolf and
7Michele Wuellner, Leah and Matt Ursch, Sara and Dennis Moore,
8Ruth and Marty Frey, Hope and Dan Brooks, and Jed and Rachelle
9Wuellner; her sister, Elinor Kapla; her grandchildren, Peter
10and Alex Venardos, Blaze and Mallory Wuellner, Justin and Josh
11Traff, Austen Wuellner, Taylor, Hannah, and Morgan Moore,
12Abraham and Chloe Frey, Derek and Audrey Brooks, and Tristan
13and Nathaniel Wuellner; and four great-grandchildren;
14therefore, be it
 
15    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
16ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
17Rosemary R. Wuellner, and extend our sincere condolences to her
18family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
19further
 
20    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
21presented to the family of Rosemary Wuellner as an expression
22of our deepest sympathy.
